You are, among other things, responsible for providing tailor-made breakfast. In addition, you contribute to the development of the A La Carte breakfast menu.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a breakfast cook you are responsible for taking care of the entire breakfast buffet and the various à la carte additions. You take care of the mise en place, the preparation and layout of various dishes. Your enthusiasm makes breakfast an optimal service and you know how to prepare dishes/buffets with care and quality. We think it is very important to have fun and a positive attitude towards both guests and your colleagues. Because of you and your colleagues, our guests start the day the way they want to start it every day. The work consists of:
- Independently taking care of and preparing the breakfast options within the hotel;
- Assessing the quality of the products/ingredients to be used on, among other things, freshness, shelf life, etc. and preparing resources;
- Preparing dishes/dish portions according to recipe and planning;
- Planning the daily activities and ordering products and ingredients;
- Thinking along and suggesting creative dishes for new menus;
- Supervise the work of the students and trainees; giving directions and checking quality;
- Cleaning the work area and kitchen equipment.
JOB EXPECTATIONS, WHO ARE YOU?
You already have some experience in the kitchen, preferably in a similar position. You like to work with fresh and beautiful products and you want to get the best out of the dishes you make. You meet or largely master:
- A professional chef’s diploma is an advantage, preferably SVH chef training or comparable;
- Familiar with HACCP;
- Experience in the kitchen, preferably a similar kitchen;
- Command of the Dutch language and/or English language;
- Flexibly available;
- Motivated and active attitude;
- Team player;
- Stress resistant.
